OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM FRONT ROW WRESTLING
Due to the expanding geographical scope of our shows, we are announcing a small but significant change in the status and the name of the Granite State Title.
After much thought and consideration, Front Row Wrestling has decided to change the name of the Granite State Championship to the Northern New England Championship. We feel this is more reflective of the fact that we run shows in Mass. as well as New Hampshire, and our intentions to also eventually run them in Vermont and Maine.
Before now, the Granite State Championship could only be defended within the state of New Hampshire. The newly named Northern New England Championship can be defended in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine per new Front Row Wrestling bylaw. The status of the titleholder will remain as is, making Tommy Mack the first ever Northern New England champion.

We at the Holstein Dairy Cow Council are totally against and insulted by this proposition and are considering legal action.
The State title is something unique to the area. There is no other promotion around that does this. (Although we think PLW shoud have a Rhode Island Title.)
FRW has yet to run shows in Vermont or Maine and a few companies that do, run as far north as the Canadian boarder. Now THAT'S Northern New England.
Under no stretch of the imagination do we consider any part of Massachusetts as Northern New England. Even Pepperell.
We think it is a good for business when the Granite State Champion fights and loses a match outside his Jurisdiction. This makes a good build up for a title match later on.
We were always hoping one day that there would be a Granite State Belt with a picture of the Old Man of the Mountains on it.
And finally, we feel that changing the name of the Granite State Title to the Northern New England Title is like if Sam Muchnick changed the name of the Missouri State Title to something like the Central States Title.
We hope FRW reconsiders this or we may form a boycott and stop giving milk.

my suggestion for the belt controversy - frw -northern newengland championship as the main title belt -- and then still have the granite state championship as the secondary belt like wcw-nwa - main title belt & the united states belt or wwe main title belt and the intercontinental belt just my opinion like backsides everyone has one lol.

I don't think your comparison here holds a great degree of water. You have noted that we tend to run our shows very much like the afformentioned Muchnick. I am proud of that. Not everything we do is Muchnick-esque, however. Sam Muchnick ran in Missouri only. If you really want to get into it...he really only ran one CITY, and could have just as accurately called his strap the St. Louis championship. We currently run both NH and Mass. The way things are playing out, at the very least we're going to run Mass. just as much as NH in upcoming months. As such, our belt(s) should be more reflective of where we run. PS: We would have loved a picture of the Old Man of the Mountains on our Granite State Belt. Perhaps now, with the change, it can be added to one of the side plates. PPS: Pepperell should seperate from Mass and join NH...as should Winchendon and several other border towns.
