FRW debuts at the Portsmouth, NH Loyal order of Moose hall on 1163 Sagamore Ave in Portsmouth, NH on Saturday, April 19th with a start time of 7:30 pm. On that card...
Main Event: All Star Title Bout...
All Star Champion
"Bad Karma" Christian Angers
vs.
Justin Shaype
-Angers will come in to April 19th (provided he gets past Tommy Mack on the 18th) defending FRW's top prize on consecutive nights for the first time in the title's history. On this night, he draws Justin Shaype.
Shaype, recently departed from his partnership with Steven Marriott & Johnny Vegas, comes in hearing the cheers of the fans for the first time in quite a while. An often overlooked competitor, Shaype has nearly 10 years of experience and is a vastly under rated pro wrestler. Angers would do well not to underestimate Shaype, who boasts many wins over the years over people that few thought he could beat. Of course, Angers is the "toast of the town" at this juncture...but that could all change on the 19th.
Granite State Title Bout:
Tommy Mack (Champion)
vs.
"Fabulous" Johnny Vegas (w/ Steven Marriott)
-Tommy Mack, after an up and down last year, is out to prove he's the real deal now that he's captured his first singles title. Accepting the challenge of Johnny Vegas is one hell of a way to start trying to prove a point...and maybe a bit foolhardy of a way too. Despite his strength and ability, one wonders if the FRW's up and coming "Young Lion" may have bitten off more than he can chew.
Vegas boasts 14 years of professional experience, and has held several regional singles and tag team titles over the years. He was in fact the very first recognized All Star Champion in Front Row Wrestling. Cunning, sly and having the ability to drop his "High roller" (Diamond Cutter) finishing move on anyone at any time...he's always a threat to any opponent, large or small. Mack will have to be on his best game to come away successful in his first title defense.
Feature Bout:
Master Flesh (1/2 tag team champions)
vs.
the debuting
"Punisher" Don Vega
-Flesh brings the weird to Portsmouth. Currently 1/2 of the tag team champions, the offbeat Master has made great leaps and bounds this year, upping his game. He'll need his game when he faces the debuting powerhouse, the proud Puerto Rican Punisher Don Vega.
Vega, a powerful bull of a man, will look to shut down Flesh's quick, offbeat offensive abilities. In turn, Flesh looks to confuse and keep the big man off balance...and no one in FRW is more "off balance" than Flesh.
Other matches will be announced in the coming days. Front row tickets are $12/advance/reserved, $13 at the door. General admission are $11 advance/reserved, $12 at the door. Tickets are available at the Moose Hall (603) 436-9637, Joey's New York Pizza on 2968 Lafayette Road in Portsmouth, NH (603) 610-8444 and can be reserved on line by emailing us at FRWrestling@yahoo.com or calling (978) 660-9384. Card subject to change.
