Front Row Wrestling debuts in The Leominster Elks Lodge on 134 North Main Street in Leominster, Ma on Friday, April 18th with a start time of 8pm.
Due to the lingering effects of injuries received to Christian Angers in Rochester, NH in March, he will be unable to defend the All Star title this month. FRW officials, leaning on their relationship with the promoters of the Eastern Wrestling Alliance, has made a last minute change that should stir up some interest!
EWA CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT
Granite State Champion
“Heart Attack” Tommy Mack (Challenger)
vs.
Eastern Wrestling Alliance Champion
Kid Mikaze
NOTES ON THIS MATCH:
*the Granite State title will not be on the line in this match.
*Match to be contended with All Star Championship Bout 2 referee rules
-This is a match between two young champions that crosses promotional lines, and is a major test for both men. Tommy Mack picked up his first championship (the Granite State Title) downing the crafty Steven Marriott in Rochester last month. Many look at this as some conformation of the last few years of talk about Mack's potential. Others still want to see how he performs under pressure, constantly competing against the top wrestlers in the area. Regardless...Tommy Mack is on a roll, and he wants to use that momentum to steamroll his way to something beyond a "secondary" belt. With Angers on the mend, he amazingly still has that chance thanks to the graciousness of EWA Champion Mikaze for taking the bout on 3 days notice.
Despite being a very different type of wrestler than Mack, Kid Mikaze knows the position Mack is in very well. He heard 5 years of talk of both his own "potential", and those who doubted him. The high flying Mikaze silenced a lot of the doubters on March 17th when he defeated long time EWA Champion and FRW's own 19 year veteran Maverick Wild in a sensational match up in Orange, Ma (go to
www.EasternWrestlingAlliance.com for more info). Still...Mikaze feels he needs to prove himself by defending the EWA title in an effort to completely silence the critics. While Mack wants to hang with the best...Mikaze, 2-3 years ahead of him in experience, wants to prove he IS the best.
Things get even more interesting than as detailed above. Mack is hungry now...so hungry and eager to prove he can go with the best, he's even agreed to a rather unusual proposal and for one night, be guided by the man he was slated to face for the All Star Title-Christian Angers. While neither man is a fan of the other, Angers claims he can show Mack "How to be a champion". Of course...one would have to question Angers true motivations. If Mack beats Mikaze for the EWA title, it would certainly make Mack less available for shots at his own All Star Title. Regardless...this may spell trouble for Mikaze.

Return Tag Team Bout:
New All Star Tag Team champions Former Champs
The Pleasures of Pain (w/ Joey Eastman) vs. Chunky but Funky
-Wild and Master Flesh (Pleasures of Pain) beat Chunky but Funky for the tag titles last month in Rochester, NH. Now, the dancing duo face off against the alliance of the bizarre in a rematch. For all their weirdness, the new champions possess a blend of speed, ability and unorthodox style that puts their opponents off their game. Of course, the fun loving duo of Goodspeed and Baron often do the same to their opponents, their pre match dance antics often hiding their true skills as wrestlers. Now…determined to regain the titles they’ve lost, a more focused Chunky but Funky vs. the POP’s wanting to dominate in their first defense could prove to be the surprise match of the night.
Sethoran (w/ Vanity Vixen) vs. Panther Martin (w/ Steven Marriott)
-Last month in Rochester, Sethoran completely lost his temper with Christian Angers after Angers injured his manager Vanity Vixen following her match with Mistress Belmont. Sethoran was DQ’d in his title match and attacked officials and security in an attempt to get to Angers following the match. FRW officials wiped all standing as a contender from Sethoran for the attack, putting him at the bottom of the contenders list…and delaying any further attempts at revenge on the recently ill behaved champion. Sethoran begins his quest to get another shot at the champ by taking on bull strong Panther Martin in Leominster.
Martin, whose recent mood can best be summed up as “borderline psychotic” due to his frustration as a singles wrestler, picked up a BIG win in Rochester last month against Shane Sharp. The 300 pound Panther will look to keep his crushing momentum going against Sethoran-meaning two different but very angry and determined men will collide…and it could get ugly.
