The Grand Wizard and his "Sons of Grappling Liberty" attended the Rochester show Friday, making their first appearance at the squared circle in nearly 2 years. Following are observations from the Wizard himself.
1. The Wizard learned from reliable sources that this was one of the largest crowds in FRW history......and the Sons of Grappling Liberty take full credit. As prophecied by the Wizard, the fans streamed to Rochester to get a chance to view the Sons.
2. High praise goes to all the wrestlers, managers, referees, security, and yes.....even to Georgie the announcer for their highly professional and entertaining performances in this excellent event.
3. The Legends were stunned into submission as they watched the unparalleled attention given to the Wizard and his Stable. Not coincidentally, a documentary was being done and of course the focus of the filmographers was on the Sons of Grappling Liberty, most notably the irrepressible Ric Nature Boy Flair and of course the fearsome El Gigante. Fans may have noted that both, with full support of the Grand Wizard, signed multi million dollar contracts with the Hollywood film company to make public appearances throughout the world once the film emerges.
4. The Grand Wizard was appalled at the unacceptable and vicious attack leveled against Flair by Antonio Thomas and Frankie "Fingers" Arion. When Antonio's unprovoked neck chop was not enough to take Flair out, he stooped to pulling in Fingers as a reinforcement. Both viciously attacked Flair, who of course survived the onslaught. The Grand Wizard has demanded a full scale investigation by owner Maverick Wild and called for the immediate suspension of "The Promise" and of Frankie Fingers. Flair had to be held back by the Grand Wizard from destroying both men last night as we did not wish to embarass the FRW operation by crippling two of its primary attractions.
5. The Honorable Thomas Jefferson had warned the Grand One to hold his nose and avoid actually looking at the collection of miscreants that filled the seats in Rochester. This proved to be excellent advice from our most honorable President, as even utlizing that strategy, the Wizard was almost moved to vomit by spending 3 hours with them.
And now its time for the Grand Wizard to dispense some well deserved kudos:
1. The Wizard's highest respect is for MR. JOEY EASTMAN. First, his dazzling fashions made the Wizard proud. In fact, it can now be revealed that the Eastman collection comes courteousy of the Grand Wizard's private haberdashery. But for Mr. Eastman, it goes much further than looks. Clearly, he is a genius when it comes to ring psychology. Time and time again, his brilliance emerged during the night. And finally, he is a silver tongued orator in dealing with the unbearable misfits in the audience. Now some may have noticed that he directed a barb early on toward the Grand Wizard himself. The Wizard can now reveal that he and Joey Eastman have a permanent alliance and friendship and his verbal abuse of the Wizard was pre-authorized by the Grand One, so as not to reveal the alliance until now. Most of all, the Wizard salutes the choice of blue pants and suspenders chosen by Joey for the second half of the evening.
2. The Irish strongboy O'Dwyer (from here on out known to the Stable as O'Douls) clearly is using steroids and must be cautioned against such substances. His chiseled body was simply too amazing to be natural. That medical issue aside, the Wizard was impressed by O'Doul's hiring of a full bagpipe band who marched in to celebrate his victory with a tune for the crowd. A very impressive touch by the Roided One.
3. Of course, the Wizard must bow in impressed respect for the stylings and mental acumen of Johnny Vegas. Like a poker player with hidden aces up his sleeve, Johnny V. always had a strategy beyond that of mortal men. He was always playing a multi-layered chess game while his victims played a game of checkers. Flair too, was impressed with Johnny's clear ability to "go all night long." Whoooo!
4. The newest member of Wizard's Stable, The Polish Hammer, made an impressive debut last night. In future appearances, he will expect that the Polish national anthem will be played rather than the Stars Spangled Banner. And he promises to bring a Polish Flag, since there was no flag at all last night.
So will the Wizard and the Son's of Grappling Liberty return. That of course is up to fans who adore us as well as how our demanding world wide schedule plays out. Thanks again to Maverick and his men and women for a great night of entertainment.
