How exactly do you calculate these rankings?
I’m glad you asked me that. It is all very scientific.
*Results are based on the last 365 days. (366 during a Leap Year.)
*One point for every victory wrestling as a single. (If you have a partner, no point. If you win a battle royal, one point. Gauntlet matches like the Ultimate Endurance – you get a point for each pinfall. However, a Triple Threat Elimination Match (if FRW ever has one) would only earn the winner one point total.)
*In the case of a tie, most recent victory takes precedence. In the current list, Tony Star, Vanity Vixen and Sledge all have three points. Tony & Double V’s last win was on Sept. 12, while Sledgomatic’s last victory was in July, so the Sledgeman has the lowest rank. We have to look back further to break the Star/Vixen tie.
*Ties can also be broken due to inactivity. If one of the tied wrestlers competes at an event and looses he advances on the wrestler he is tied with if this wrestler does not compete. This helps break ties when the wrestlers only have one point each. I hate ties.
*Champions automatically take the top two spots outside the numerical ranks. Therefore their points are not calculated.
*(I was thinking of adding an inactivity clause, like if a wrestler does not compete in a six month period he looses points, but I am too lazy to look it up.)
Two other things affect the ratings. One is if I screw up (which I have done a few times), I decided to just let it stand. I usually don’t notice it until the following month anyway.
The other thing is #20 is a totally gimmicked spot. I will put anyone I want there. Truth is, three people have more points (one) than Old Man Angers (zero). (Kid Mikazi, Guthrie O’Dwyer, and Dave Baron.)
The whole thing is a lot less complicated than it sounds. Once I set it up, it's only a matter of updating every show.
