From the American Legion in Rochester, NH
Quick show rundown…
Matt “I’m not Tarzan” Spectro retained the Granite State Title vs. Tom Kane. Tom Kane manhandled Spectro’s manager George Romero after the match. Tom Kane is a tough customer, but Spectro is proving to be a VERY effective champion.
In “Tough Talk” with Tony Spencer, Spencer tried to stir the pot between All Star Champion Justin Shaype and Challenger/former champion Shane Sharp, who were meeting later that night in a 2/3 falls match for the belt. Shaype ended up slapping the obnoxious self proclaimed self help guru Spencer and Sharp followed up by booting Spencer in the posterior. Both men shook hands afterwards
Dr. Reginald Heresy & “Fabulous” Johnny Vegas beat Steven Marriot and newcomer Evan Masters. Masters is big and powerful and could have quite a future ahead of him, but the two wily old pros took it to Marriot and Masters in this one. Of note, Marshall McNiel managed Vegas and Heresy.
“Tough Talk” Tony Spencer beat Dan Thunder via submission with his new arm lock (“the Tough Luck Tap Out”). Spencer spent a great deal of time running away from Thunder in this match. Thunder ended up hurting his shoulder and Spencer took advantage of the injury.
Sethoran, Tony Star and Vanity Vixen beat Maverick Wild, Master Flesh (the Pleasures of Pain) and Mistress Belmont. By the rules of the match, Sethoran and Star were awarded the tag team championship. The PoP and Belmont blindsided them after the match (assisted by a chain in the possession of Master Flesh) and in a moment that hushed the crowd, Maverick Wild pile drove Vanity Vixen (who had to be carried out).
“the Beast” Panther Martin (w/ Sara Blackmore) defeated newcomer Billy King with a swinging power slam. King was game, but Martin overpowered him.
“The Promise” Antonio Thomas and “Bad Karma” Christian Angers wrestled to a double count out. Angers was also managed by Marshal McNiel. The two had a tremendous match, but many found the ending unsatisfying. One would assume a rematch is in the works.
In the main event…Shane Sharp reclaimed the All Star Championship in a 2/3 falls match. The match itself went just under ½ an hour and was a tremendous, hard hitting but clean affair.
