The hall in Rochester is booked solid in October, so there is no available date. There may be a date available in late September...we are working on that as we speak. In addition, it appears we will be doing another joint show with the Eastern Wrestling Alliance in Gardner, Ma at the end of September as well, and then probably a return to Rindge, NH in October. All the September dates should be finalized by the end of the week and October the following week. We appolgize if some of this seems to be being done by the seat of our pants...Summer is the worst time not only to run, but next to the holiday season the worst time to button down halls on bookings because everybody is on vacation. First Match signed: Rematch from Rochester, NH for the Granite State Title... "Sensational" Shane Sharpe (C) vs. Former Champion Maverick Wild -Rookie sensation Shane Sharpe pulled off an amazing upset in Rochester, NH and pinned 17 year plus veteran Maverick Wild cleanly with his big swinging DDT off the top rope (the Sharpener) after absorbing a tremendous beating to his ribs from Wild. Following the loss, Wild went berserk, smashing the new champion with the GS belt. He then attacked the referee and actually used the referee as a weapon, slamming him full force onto Sharpe's already injured rib cage. To follow up, Wild also dropped a double barrel kneedrop onto the prone Sharpe's ribs as well. Sharp bravely went on to compete in the finals of Ultimate Endurance for the All Star Title, but blames Wild for not being able to compete at the level needed to win the tournement. Now, Sharpe will face the former Granite State titleholder in Claremont...can he withstand a double helping of Wild?

2nd match Announced... Panther Martin -v- Master Flesh -This match was first seen at the Clark Memorial in Winchendon, Mass on June 23rd. Panther Martin took that one with a thunderous "Boss man Slam" in a highly competitive match up. Now, this match comes to Claremont.
Many figured Panther Martin best suited for tag team action. The assumption was he was very powerful but lacked the ability, mobility and endurance to be a high ranking singles wrestler. In short, the thought was a smaller tag team partner could rely on him to provide the muscle needed in a tag team match, but on his own he wouldn't have the stamina to make it. Fans have been pleasantly surprised to see that Martin is actually fairly quick on his feet for a 329 lb man. Further, he has shown more endurance than expected out of him (his good performance at Ultimate Endurance really showed that) and seems to possess an internal toughness that few would have attributed to this often happy go lucky competitor.
Master Flesh will be looking for a modicum of revenge in Claremont, having fallen victim to Martin once this year already. While his talent has shone through with big wins over some top FRW guys, he has failed to establish himself as a consistent wrestler, often following up big wins with a loss. Flesh is looking for a break out year and 2008, and will look to get an early jump on it by beating Martin in Claremont.

On Monday, 8/20/07, "Mad Dog" Mulligan (one of the boy's personal favorites) broke his ankle coming off the ropes during training. His injury will leave him out of work for an undetermined period of time. In order to help out our "Mad Dog" as much as we can, we have decided that our upcoming Claremont NH show on Sept 15th will be a benefit show to help defray the bills that are sure to accumulate while he recovers. All procedes of the show will go to Ryan (his real first name).
While it is true that wrestlers get hurt all of the time, I would ask you all to read the below...this is the text of an email I have sent out to several of the FRW wrestlers.
Some of you were present Monday at the end of class, some of you weren't. For those of you who weren't...near the end of class "Mad Dog Mulligan" turned his ankle coming off the ropes and was immediately in an enormous amount of pain. After 17 years worth of witnessing injuries, I’ve become pretty inured to such incidents, but this one really got to me. As soon as it happened, he let out the most ferocious fit of screaming I have ever heard. He couldn't put any weight at all on the foot. We ended up having to help him down the hallway and he had to sit on his rear and go down the stairs on his butt. Egghead drove him to his mother's house while Joe drove his car over there.
What we were hoping for was that he had just pulled the ligaments in his ankle. That is unfortunately not the case. I have yet to catch up to him personally, but I have made numerous calls to his house and his mother's house. On Tuesday, I got the machine at his house and left a message. His wife called me back when I was out of range on my cell and left me a message letting me know the depressing news that he had broken his right ankle on the outside and mashed the tendons on the left side in the process and may require surgery. She left the number to his mom's house in Nashua where he would be staying as he had gone to the hospital Monday night in Nashua and it made sense to stay in Nashua for his follow ups. I called 3 times during the day at his Mom's house yesterday, but he was at the doctor every time I called. When I called again this morning, his mother let me know that he was at the hospital and they were going to operate on him today. I apologized for "haunting" her with phone calls; she told me that it was OK and that Ryan was looking forward to hearing from me.
Again, not having spoken directly to Ryan...I have no idea how long he's going to be on the shelf for. For everyone who really knows me, you know I have this tendency to take on what I refer to as my "Pet Projects". I also realize some of you end up scratching your head, wondering why I do this for certain individuals. The reason I do this is because in my own life, I was a young kid who had zilch in the way of self confidence. While I never really saw wrestling as a long term career, I feel I am not overstating anything when I say that wrestling actually allowed me to build the self confidence to succeed in other areas of my life. So, when I see someone I feel could better themselves by getting that same boost that wrestling gave my life...I want to try to help.
Now, admit tingly...that's blown up in my face a few times. Ryan was different. He came to not me...but us...after attending another wrestling school, having his money taken from him and frankly having the nuts kicked out of him because he was short, stocky and didn't look like a wrestler. Despite all of that, Ryan tracked us down and wanted to give it a go with us. He wanted to learn so badly, he was ready to take another chance despite his previous rotten, near torturous treatment by others. I have a hard time saying "no" to that kind of raw enthusiasm, so I cut him a deal on training and included him in our merry band of fops.
He seemed to be a hard learner at first. In retrospect, I think it seemed that way because we assumed that his previous trainers had taught him, well...something. I came to that conclusion because I would not be there one week and show up the following week and notice marked improvement in a very short period. He was not the world's most gifted athlete, true...but none of us are. I also noticed that he listened to EVERYBODY in the gym. He RESPECTED everybody. You never heard things like, "that's not the way Shawn Micheals does it" or saw him treating something you told him like it was idiotic or trivial. He absorbed every little nugget of advice anyone gave him. Through that absorption, he improved every week. In short, he was a model student. As it turned out, what started as one of my projects became adopted by everyone else's project as well...because everybody saw a little of themselves in him.
I had the pleasure of walking Ryan through his first match in Winchendon...which is about as close as my "home town" as I'm going to get. I didn't do that because I think I'm such hot nuts. I did that because after knowing him for 6 months, I knew he'd have sooner died in the ring rather than let me down (which, for the record, is not a level of dedication I require). Since then, I have received nothing but good reports on Ryan from the other workers, including those outside our immediate circle. Yes, they would honestly tell him what they thought he needed to work on, but never in a derogatory manner. He was so eager to learn that anybody who came in contact with him was eager to offer whatever help they could to him.
I was watching him Monday night before the accident. He stuck with all the drills, and when It came time to do a match...I couldn't help notice how much his confidence had improved since he started with us. He has become so much more sure of himself. That kind of confidence radiates in your work, and the people can almost physically feel it. That's why when he went down...god, it nearly broke my heart.
One of our own has gone down, and he is not in a position to be able to afford to be out of work for a long period of time. I would like for us to help him as much as we can. I am turning the upcoming Claremont show into a benefit for Ryan to help offset the bills that are sure to pile up while he gets back on his feet. Many of you can testify to the fact that I have never asked anyone to work for nothing...but I am now. I am asking you all to donate your time and effort not only that night but in the weeks previous to help canvas Claremont and the surrounding areas with advertising and to help in any way you can. There have been several moments where I have been very proud of this crew. Our last show, we showed that despite not being a stellar band of athletes, we are capable of putting on one hell of a show because we work together, as a group, heart and soul. Now, I'm going to the well here...I'm asking everybody to make me proud again...by getting together and helping out someone who epitomizes what we stand for.
Let’s do this one for Mad Dog.
Scott C. Despres AKA Maverick Wild
We should be announcing the full card, ticket prices, availability and all other pertinent information by the end of this weekend. I would implore all who are capable of attending to please do so. The money put into the show will go directly to Ryan. As to the show; speaking for myself, I intend on putting everything I have into my match that night. So will the other wrestlers. Not only will you be helping out, but I truly believe you will see all involved at their very best. Please join us.

Earlier in the week, Matt Spectro respectfully asked FRW officials to let him out of the booking as it fell on a date highly important to his religion of choice (for more info on this, go to www.myspace.com/newenglandprowrestling and look for "the Man from Nazereth). We wish to honor all religious beliefs and let it slide, and fully expect to have Mr. Spectro back on future shows. Dr. Reginald Heresy will instead face off against the debuting Mike Lidell. More matches will be finalized this week!

1. Christian Angers (All Star Champion) 2. Shane Sharpe (Granite State Champion) 3. Maverick Wild 4. Don Chesterfield 5. Vampire Setheron 6. Master Flesh 7. Panther Martin 8. Tim Walker 9. Dr. Heresy 10. Matt Spectro
Big mistake by Spectro to give up this booking. A victory over Heresy would have moved him up to number 8 on the ratings. As it is, he is probably going to loose his spot on the top ten.
In other matches, the winner of the Martin/Flesh match is going to move up the charts and I think should put them as top contender for one of the titles.
Newcomer Mike Lidell could take Spectro's #10 spot with a victory over Heresy. And if another preliminary singles bout is signed, the winner of that match will have a spot on the top ten also, even if it's Larry Huntley.
