Front Row Wrestling returns to the American Legion on 94 Eastern Ave in Rochester, NH on Friday, August 3rd with a special starting time of 7:30 pm. Due to the situation with Kid Krazy being stripped of the title (see below), a special early start time has been assigned to the matches. August 3rd his going to be very interesting indeed...
-Hot on the heels of the announcement of Kid Krazy being stripped of the All Star Title, FRW officials have stated that a new champion will be determined on August 3rd. FRW officials are mulling over several options; a tournament, a battle royal, a multiple man elimination bout and a few other options are currently being discussed. An announcement as to how the championship will be determined will be made by Tuesday, July 10th. Stay tuned!
1st announced match of the night: Granite State Title Bout: Maverick Wild -v- "Sensational" Shayne Sharpe
-What is up with Maverick Wild? His last two appearances in Rochester have been marred by controversial finishes. Back in May, it appeared that Christian Angers had him beat via submission. First, his ring second Shayne Sharpe appeared ready to toss in the towel when Steven Marriott threw him into the ring post. While the referee was attending to that, it appeared Wild was tapping out to Anger's submission hold. Following an argument between the two, Marriott turned his back on his own man and threw in the towel in disgust, costing Angers the title. Then, on June 29th, Wild appeared to be hard pressed by Matt Spectro and resorted to rolling up his larger foe with a prominent handful of tights. These types of tactics are not common for Wild, and he has left his fans in a flux about just what is going on with him.
Now, enter Shayne Sharpe. He finds himself in both a lucky yet awkward position. Sharpe has been training with Wild since May, and considers the elder Wild a mentor and a friend. Under Wild's behind the scenes tutelage, Sharpe has definitely become a more polished wrestler, and in fact won his first match in FRW on June 29th against Steven Marriott. Steven Marriott was not a ranked competitor however. FRW officials feel that most of the ranked contenders will be tied up competing to fill the All Star title vacancy and because he really has just started to win matches could not be included in that process. Shayne Sharpe says, "they're (FRW officials) right, of course...but it kind of stings. The basic premise is that I'm not good enough right now to go for the main title. Hell, the basic premise is they don't think under normal circumstances I'd be in the running for FRW's #2 title, but they want the Granite State title defended and since all the other competitors are going to be busy that night, I get the shot. I'm OK with it, in fact...I'm psyched! I get to go in there and try and prove myself against a man I respect more than anyone in wrestling. Despite what some people are saying about him recently... Mav's the man, but he's in for a fight on August 3rd"!
Ticket prices/availability will be announced soon; stay tuned!

FRW presents... "Ultimate Endurance" Front Row Wrestling returns to the American Legion on 94 Eastern Ave in Rochester, NH on Friday, August 3rd with a special starting time of 7:30 pm. Due to the situation with Kid Krazy being stripped of the title (see below), a special early start time has been assigned to the matches. August 3rd his going to be very interesting indeed... -Hot on the heels of the announcement of Kid Krazy being stripped of the All Star Title, FRW officials have stated that a new champion will be determined on August 3rd! A decision has been made as to how to address the vacancy; 1st: a four match, 8 man 1st round tournament shall take place. Winners of that tourney will then pick a random number, 1-4. The man to “select” the #1 spot will face the #2 man. The winner will then face the #3 man, and the #4 man will face the winner of that match, with the ultimate victor coming out with the All Star Title! Endurance and conditioning will be vital in this style of match. Wrestlers will have to train for the possibility of wrestling 4 men in one night on the chance that they win the opening round match and get the unlucky #1 or #2 spot. EVERYONE involved will have to be at the absolute top of their game on this night…which is EXACTLY what FRW officials want. “In the aftermath of the abrupt release of the former champion, we feel the All Star Champion will have to truly prove himself as a cut above the rest of the competitors to continue the prestige of the title intact. We feel that this format will prove most conclusively that the All Star Champion is truly worthy of FRW’s crown jewel”. 1st Round matches already signed: Granite State Title Bout: Maverick Wild -v- "Sensational" Shayne Sharpe -This match was originally for the Granite State Title. Maverick Wild petitioned FRW officials, however, and this has been made the first tournament match up. Wild apparently made quite a stink about his long winning record and his status as the last All Star Champion previous to Kid Krazy and as the current Granite State Champion. FRW officials wanted the Granite State Title defended…so a compromise has been reached. Wild has agreed to put the Granite State Championship on the line in the first round of the tournament against Shayne Sharpe! The winner will then enter the elimination stage of the tournament, but the Granite State Title will not be on the line during the elimination phase. This opens up the exciting possibility that the winner of this match could go on to win the All Star Title and become the first ever double title holder in FRW history! For Maverick Wild, this could be his crowning achievement. The 18 year veteran has the endurance, strength and abilities to possibly pull off winning all the gold. For the rookie Shayne Sharpe, this unexpected gift comes with some VERY long odds. Currently training with Wild, his mentor surely knows every weakness he has and will not hesitate to take advantage of them when not only the GS title is on the line, but FRW’s crown jewel as well. Can his youthful energy and speed overcome the heavily favored Wild in the first round AND win his very first title? We will see on August 3rd. Master Flesh (w/ Dr. Everett Payne) -v- “Bad Karma” Christian Angers -dramatically off beat collides with technical perfection! With his pure wrestling ability and desire to prove he is the best in FRW, some are predicting this will be Angers race…but don’t count out Master Flesh. A former Granite State Champion, Flesh and manager Everett Payne are looking to envelope FRW in what they refer to as “…an age of darkness and ethereal delights”. Flesh’s high impact, nearly enjoy the pain style of throw down could prove to be a winning combination in this format, and a reign at the top spot is DEFINITELY possible. Master Flesh’s own creepy prediction… “In a game of odds, the oddest stands to gain”. JUST ADDED; 3rd Tournement Matchup "Heart Attack" Tommy Mack -v- "the Duke of Elegance" Don Chesterfield (w/ Steven Marriott) Don’t miss this show! TICKETS: GENERAL ADMISSION: $11 advanced or reserved, $13 at the door; FRONT ROW : $12 advanced or reserved; $14 at the door; Advanced tickets available at the following locations starting on July 13th ; AMERICAN LEGION (94 EASTERN AVE. ROCHESTER; (603) 332-2024); SIGNAL STREET VARIETY (26 SIGNAL STREET, ROCHESTER; (603) 335-2460. For reserved tickets, go to WWW.FRONT-ROW.INFO or call (978) 660-9384. Panther Martin -v- the Debuting Brian Fury! -Panther Martin, fresh off of his loss of the tag titles heads into the 8 man tournament looking to score big. The largest wrestler in the running, Martin has the power to crush anyone in the competition should he get on a roll. Getting on a roll may be tough however, as one of the area’s top competitors has selected the blind draw spot in the tournament. Enter: Brian Fury. Fury, with 6 years of experience, is coming into his own as one of the most talented men in the Northeast. His speed and athleticism is second to none. In addition, this is somewhat of a homecoming for Fury. His initial training in the sport was done with the help of FRW alumni Maverick Wild and Sonny Goodspeed and trained along the side of Panther Martin, Justin Shaype and many other members of the FRW roster. Although Fury gives away over 100 lbs to the powerhouse Martin, he has faced and defeated larger men in the past. When contacted via phone, “humble” would not seem an accurate description of his state of mind. Rather, he said, “I am so past all these losers I trained with it isn’t even funny. Panther Martin? When I trained with him, he was an out of shape goof calling himself Egghead. I don’t care that he changed his name…he’s still the same guy I used to run circles around. This thing’s gonna be easy pickings for me”. Despite his assertions of superiority, Martin is a much improved wrestler. Fury may find his array of power moves too much to handle…especially if he doesn’t take his opponent seriously. Still, the odds have to favor Fury in this bout; let’s see if Panther Martin can overcome them.
