I take it the Granite State Title will not be on the line in the Bay State?

Good call. GST should stay in the GS! Wow, that really sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?

Good thing. Otherwise I would be placing an anonymous phone call to the NH State Athletic Commission.

Front Row Wrestling makes it’s debut at the Clark Memorial Ice Arena on 155 Central St. in Winchendon, Ma with a bell time of 7:30 pm. Main Event: FRW All Star Title Bout Kid Crazy (w/ Dr. Everett Payne) -v- “Bad Karma” Christian Angers -Kid Crazy won the title from Maverick Wild in Rindge, NH back on Nov.17th of 2006. In that time, he has turned away tough challenges from former champion Maverick Wild, Sonny Goodspeed, Dr. Reginald Heresy & most recently Frankie Armadillo. All of these challengers brought all sorts of advantages to the table- Maverick’s intensity, Goodspeed’s size and experience, Heresy’s intelligence and Armadillo’s speed- the abrasively brash Kid Crazy and manager Dr. Everett Payne have set them all aside. Looming on the horizon however, is the ultra scientific Christian Angers. Angers had a breakout year starting in the middle of 2006 and extending into 2007 with several big victories and his defense of the Granite State Title. He was upended for the GST in very controversial fashion on May 18th in Rochester, NH in a submission only match with Maverick Wild. Angers had Wild trapped in a deadly looking neck vise. It appeared Wild had no chance of escaping the hold, and his corner man Shayne Sharpe was up on the ring apron, ready to throw in the towel. Marriott, apparently forgetting what was at stake for his wrestler, used the opportunity to blindside and drive Sharpe into the post in vengeance for Sharpe dropkicking him after their tag match earlier in the night. The selfish move ended up costing Angers the match twice, because as the referee was tending to the fallen Sharpe, Wild was still in the hold and tapping out. Angers ended up breaking the hold and began a heated argument and shoving match with his manager. Wild then trapped Angers in the ropes and absolutely laid into his arm, and then applied a step over Hammerlock. Marriott, extremely annoyed, actually threw in the towel for Angers and walked off, costing him the GST. Now, Angers is looking to not only regain momentum, but to grab the biggest prize available to him in FRW; the All Star Title. He’ll need to maintain his cool against a champion who excels at goading opponents into compromising positions. Is Angers up to the challenge? Panther Martin -v- Master Flesh -The weirdness that is Master Flesh squares off against the power of the 337 lb Panther Martin. Martin currently holds ½ of the FRW tag team championship with Tommy Mack. Often compared to a bulldozer made of flesh and blood, Martin may be the strongest competitor in FRW. Master Flesh is definitely unorthodox…will that be enough to throw the powerful Martin off balance? Chunky but Funky -v-Johnny Vegas & Steven Marriott -Claiming that regular tag partner of “Fabulous” Johnny Vegas (Justin Shaype) is away on a fitness seminar that weekend, Marriott has decided to put himself on the Marriott Corporation’s active list in order to challenge Chunky but Funky. It’s a combo of mixed results. Marriott has lost to CBF with partner Shane Sharpe but Vegas and partner Shaype beat them last month in Rochester. Says Vegas, “those to dancing sacks of USDA rejected beef are going down this time. I obviously know how to beat them,” he gloats, “ and so does our corporate President Mr. Steven Marriott. It’s not his fault that knucklehead Shane Sharpe couldn’t keep up his end of the bargain. Now, Chunky but Stupid has to deal with the full force of the Marriott Corp”. Non-Title Bout: Maverick Wild (Granite State Champion) -v- Mad Dog Mulligan (w/ Steven Marriott) -as the GST is only defended in NH traditionally, Wild has been slotted a non-title bout with rookie newcomer Mad Dog Mulligan. Very little is known about Mulligan, but Marriott offers the following… “Mad Dog isn’t the biggest or the fastest or the strongest. What he is is simply the NASTIEST wrestler in Front Row Wrestling. This man would break his own Grandmother’s arm if she owed him $5.00. He isn’t guided by morality, he doesn’t have any scruples. You know how some people will wreck their own car trying to avoid running over a small animal? Not Mad Dog…he aims for them, and then hangs the critters on the mirrors and antennas of his 1983 Chevy Silverado. He’s not even a man…he’s a true animal. Maverick’s in for a surprise”. More matches will be announced later this week! General Admission is $11 in advance, $13 at the door. Front row tickets are $12 in advance, $14 at the door. Tickets are available at Multi State Roofing at 158 Franklin St. in Winchendon, Ma. Call (978) 297-0297 for advanced tickets (ask for Scott), or go to www.front-row.info for reserved seating. Doors open at 7 pm…don’t be late. Card subject to change.
