Front Row Wrestling returns to our home base at the American Legion on 94 Eastern Ave in Rochester, NH on Saturday, Nov. 15th with a special start time of 7:30 pm.
Main Event: Rematch, 2/3 falls, 1 hour time limit...
Shane Sharp (Challenger, former champion)
-vs-
Justin Shaype (All Star Champion)
After a thrilling match and upset win by Shaype on 10/3 in Rochester, Shaype will put the crown jewel on the line in a rematch with Shane Sharp.
Granite State Title Bout:
"Trouble Walkin'" Tom Kane
-vs-
Matt Spectro
The explosive newcomer upset Panther Martin early in the night on 10/3, then shocked everyone later in the night by winning a three way match involving himself, Sledge and Christian Angers! With momentum like that, Matt Spectro has A LOT to worry about on the 15th of November!
Other announcements...
-FRW will be announcing a December end of the year date and location in the coming week. It will probably be a small venue show (possibly Kingston) and be a very fan friendly, Christmasy "thank you" type of show.
-A return date to the American Legion in Rochester for January is in the works. This will be a very special 2 show day-one in the afternoon, one in the evening. The shows themselves will feature ULTIMATE ENDURANCE-W.
What is ULTIMATE ENDURANCE-W, you may ask? Well...at Front Row Wrestling, we have noticed that there are a few female only wrestling promotions, and that many promotions from time to time feature woman's wrestling as a novelty.
We don't want the women to be thought of as a novelty act. Despite gender, we feel the women are just as capable of having great, quality matches as their male counterparts. There are several woman's titles out there...some that mean something, others that don't. We don't want to step on the toes of those that do mean something and don't want to add to the list of those that don't. At the same time, while we have nothing against good looking women, we promote woman wrestlers (not Divas). So, we have decided to apply the Ultimate Endurance concept to a woman's tournament in 2008.
For those unfamiliar with the tournament, it involves 8 individuals squaring off in traditional tournament style matches. The winners of those matches go on to face each other in a random selection gauntlet match. This has proven to be a very grueling format and has tested the mettle of many of the men in Front Row Wrestling...and we suspect many women wrestlers will be clamoring for a shot to prove themselves in the same way!
The basic format will work as such; on the afternoon show, the first round will take place as the feature matches, mixed in with men's matches including the All Star Title bout for the afternoon's main event. At the night show however, the Granite State Title will be on the line in the semi-main event position and the main event will be the Ultimate Endurance W Gauntlet match. Some would say putting the women on in the main event position is a risk. We say that for years women have been wrongly shut out of main events and it is high time for them to compete for these spots.
A solid date for January is being worked out now, and participants will be announced in the coming weeks-don't miss this landmark event!
